Abigail Marie Clancy Bio
Abigail Marie Clancy, born 10 January, 1986, is an English lingerie model as well as catwalk model. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and was the winner of series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Since 2015, she has been presenting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second oldest one of her four siblings, Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton which is a region of Liverpool. She attended St Mary's Primary School, as well as St Julie's Catholic High school. Clancy was a member of the girl band Genie Queen. They were directed by Andy McCluskey at Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. In summer 2006, the third cycle of Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model included Clancy as one of the 13 finalist in the contest, competing over 10 weeks for a modelling contract. Clancy was able to make it to the runway show with another contestant Lianna Fowler, eventually becoming the runner up. Clancy became a model after being featured on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was featured on the cover of Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was selected for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. Clancy was highlighted for her sporting connection and was photographed wearing only bodypaint to the publication. Yu Tsai captured the image. Clancy was included in Umbro's campaign for 2010. She was wearing an England shirt and was joined by women from the winning teams. Clancy was a model for the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July of 2013, she was part London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. It included a fashion editorial from Absynth Photographic and a fashion movie by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also a model for the cover of August 2011 of UK Esquire shot by photographer Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was also included in the December 2013 issue of LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar with Suki Wasserhouse and Cara Delevingne. In July 2014, Clancy appeared on the cover of British Marie Claire and in March 2015, she was featured in British Elle. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch, her daughter, collaborated with Lipsy (a London-based fashion label) to launch their AW'19 collection. The collection was launched in UAE in January 2020.
